Five years ago, hundreds of genetically modified super soldiers, created by the US Military, escaped from the top secret facility where they had been created and trained, known as Manticore. The majority of these Transgenics found themselves in the greater Seattle area, and tried to settle into a world where they didn't belong. But it didn't take long for the people of Seattle, termed 'Ordinaries' by the Transgenics, to realize that something was amiss in their fair city, and once the Transgenics were outed by the very people trying to track them down and kill them, they had to make a choice: scatter to winds and try to survive on their own, or band together to stand strong against outsiders and build a community of their own. Through deals and accommodations with the government of Seattle, most of which happened behind closed doors with less than legal roots, Terminal City now has running water and semi-reliable power, and the Transgenics have put together livable residences and formed their own closed community. While there are still many opposed to Terminal City in Seattle, for the most part the Ordinaries are willing to leave them to their own devices provided they don't have to see them every day.

The Snake Cult have been hellbent on destroying the Transgenics since their arrival in the city, in particular their leader, Max. They have spent the last few years undermining Terminal City and taking every opportunity to discredit Transgenics, sowing hate amongst the Ordinaries like a weed. Recently, they have intensified their efforts to assassinate Max, the leader of Terminal City, in preparation for the Coming. Things are getting heated between all the factions, so time to make your choice. Will you fight your neighbors for what you believe is right, will you push for peace for all, or will you keep your head down and hope for the best? The only thing that's certain is that you have...
